Looking for a new job opportunity within an environment where two days are never the same?

Our prison GPs are extremely valued and well-respected members of the Offender Health community. Delivering first-class healthcare to a group with such a wide variety of patients, GPs at Care UK get the opportunity to further develop their knowledge in areas they that wouldn’t usually experience within a practice or even an A&E environment.

As a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, the General Practitioner will provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient’s requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management. You will also provide a highly specialist resource to other healthcare staff, patients and carers and have active involvement in clinical governance/effectiveness activities.

On top of this, you will provide dynamic leadership of the medical profession across the relevant cluster of Care UK Health in Justice services and within this, to be pivotal in engaging the medical workforce to support the delivery of the organisation’s objectives.

HMP Pentonville is a Cat B/Local Men's Prison situated in N7, London. Pentonville is a local prison accepting all suitable male prisoners over the age of 18 from courts in its catchment area.

The Job Requirements

You will be a qualified GP with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

If you are self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as showing plenty of initiative when it comes to handling a wide range of situations, then this could be the right role for you!

Salary and Benefits

The salary range is up to £120,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
