We are Care UK, the country’s largest independent provider of NHS services. We deliver a wide range of quality, flexible services to over a million patients across the UK.
Our primary care services range from Integrated Urgent Care and Out of Hours Services, GP Practices and walk-in centres and prison healthcare. Our IUC services ensure people with urgent healthcare needs get the right care for their condition when they need it by joining out out-of-hospital services and a hub of expert clinicians behind the NHS 111 service.
Our prison healthcare teams are built up of large multidisciplinary teams and include specialists in mental health and substance misuse meaning there is someone always on hand to help if required. Our clinics are nurse led meaning you are free to treat the people who need a GP. Most of our prison GP services are week-day hours meaning you normally finish around 6pm.
That means, as a doctor joining our team, you have the freedom to choose where you work. Do you want to specialise in one area? Go for it.
Would you prefer a portfolio career, developing your skills and experience in a selection of services? That’s also fine by us.
Whichever option you choose, one thing’s for sure… we serve such a rich mix of patients you can expect a wealth of professional challenges that will really test – and develop your skills. What’s more, you’re free to choose the hours you want to work. You can join us on a full or part time basis, or self-employed to fit your role at Care UK around existing work or lifestyle commitments and with a range of in-hours and out of hours services, we’ll do our best to accommodate working hours to suit you.
We also understand that you’d rather be treating patients than shuffling paper, so we free you from much of the admin that you’ll find in a traditional GP practice which means you’re free to get on with doing what you trained for.
What else do we offer?
• If you join us as a salaried GP, we have various benefits on offer including study leave, pension and career development opportunities
• We’ll support you in your continuing professional development, so that you continue to meet your appraisal and revalidation requirements.
• You’ll be joining a supportive team of quality health professionals, including expert medical leads who will provide ongoing one-to-one support and guidance.
At Care UK we’re constantly adapting our healthcare services and models to suit the way people live now. If you like the sound of joining an innovative, forward-thinking healthcare provider where your skills and experience will be valued and developed, apply for one of our roles today or get in touch using the contact us button to the left of the page.
