Salaried GP

Background –

Salary – c£12,000 per session plus paid CPD

Location – East Hull area

You must be qualified as a General Practitioner and registered with the GMC and UK performers list.

The surgery –

• Large GP Training Practice with numerous Trainers – also host medical students and nursing students
• Varied demographic offering a little bit of everything
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • One GP Assistant for each small team of GPs – do a lot of the task and patient contact work that can build up for a GP
  • Engaging with pioneering technology platforms
  • Pre-triage of all consultations to ensure they’re appropriate for GPs
• Partner-owned premises
• Coffee break every morning as well as regular other meetings including a quarterly Salaried GP meeting
• Special interests encouraged – can evidence supporting other GPs
• SystmOne

Your role –

• Salaried GP or GP with a view to Partnership
• 4 or more sessions – full-time available
• Fantastic workload
  • 12 patients per session
  • 15-minute appointments
  • 4 of your 24 appointments are follow-ups for you to book only
  • What very few visits there are will take the place of 2-3 appointments, not be in addition to
• Only 1-2 Duty days per month (a full-time GP would do a Duty Day every 10 or so days)
• No weekend working

The benefits –

• BMA contract
• Paid CPD (1 hour per day worked per week) unless working full-time in which you’ll work 7 clinical sessions with 1 CPD session
• 6 weeks’ annual leave
• NHS pension
