Salaried GP

This forward-thinking training practice in Reading is seeking a new Salaried GP to join their multi-disciplined team of clinicians. This surgery is well-doctored, only looking to recruit due to retirement of long-standing staff. The practice offers a very manageable workload, educational sessions with visitors to the practice on a regular basis, as well as regular social activities for the whole team to have some fun!

Located in a nice area, the surgery has a mixed demographic leaning slightly more towards affluent, with an overall appreciative attitude. As well as GP training, the surgery helps other clinical roles develop, including Physician Associates and Practice Nurses, so progression is very much at the forefront of what the surgery does.

Salary – £88,000 – £103,000 per annum + NHS pension + 6 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave

The surgery

• Located in a nice part of Reading with nice surroundings
• Multi-disciplined team, including Physician Associates, Paramedics, Social Prescribers, et al.
• Passionate about continuity of care for all patients
• Highly organised admin team, including secretaries who deal with GP’s letters
• Technologically up to date with EMIS, E-consult, AccuRX and Docman
• Supportive of specialist interests

Your role –

• 6 sessions per week
• 27 patients contacts per day
• No duty doctor
• Mixture of telephone and face-to-face appointments
• Low home-visiting numbers, Paramedics take care of nearly all of them
• Deliver exceptional levels of care to all patients
• Dedicated admin time for each session
