An exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Training Practice in Barnstaple. It could be an amazing adventure, or the start of a new life in one of the most beautiful areas in the UK.

North Devon is home to stunning coastline and beaches, and rugged valleys where wild goats roam.

Barnstaple, the largest town in North Devon lies north of Dartmoor and to the west of one of the most unspoilt areas of the UK, Exmoor National Park.



A stable team of GPs are supported by the full suite of PCN roles including Mental Health Practitioner, FCPs, Wellbeing team, Visiting Paramedic Service and OPIC team looking after the care homes. The practice also has its own Clinical Pharmacist.



We've placed numerous people at the surgery over the years, including 2 GPs and a Nurse Practitioner, all of which have provided first-rate feedback.



Pay Rate - up to £1,000 per day



Location - Barnstaple area, North Devon

• GP Training Practice
• Medium-sized list size
• Highly supportive practice focused on wellbeing
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
  • Workflow as optimised as it can be - 'we've gone as far as we can with it'
  • Virtually no home visits
  • No Duty Doctor!
• One-site working (no branch surgeries) and GPs get their own room
• SystmOne practice

Your role -

• Locum GP, Mat Cover (from May, 6 months)
• 6 sessions per week
• Flexible start and finish times
• Very reasonable workload
  • 14 patients per session
  • 15-minute appointments
• 45 minutes admin time at the end of each session
• Doctors' coffee every morning and catch-up slots included too
