GP Partner Job, Abingdon

Excellent single site GP practice offering an opportunity for a GP Partner or Salaried GP with a view to Partnership, based in Abingdon, south of Oxford.

This is a well maintained and managed practice, based in the market town of Abingdon, just south of Oxford. The practice is based within a single site which has purpose built premises, suitable for expansion. There is planned development on the horizon for Abingdon, meaning that the town will be see an increase in population in the next few years.

The practice is now looking to appoint a GP, ideally for Partnership, to replace a long standing GP Partner who has retired. There are up to 8 sessions available to make this a full time position, with exciting plans in place for the next few years.

You will be joining a team which includes other GP Partners, Salaried GPs, ANP, Nurses, Paramedic, HCAs and a full community team attached. The practice has good links to the PCN and regularly gets involved in teaching. There are approximately 10,000 patients and the staff operate on EMIS. There is also a full clerical team on site to support with GP admin and paperwork.

The practice uses 15 minute appointments making this a very appealing role for those seeking more patient contact time. You are welcome to come into the practice and see the premises and system for yourself.

Key Duties

• Salaried GP with a view to Partnership, or GP Partner with mutual assessment period
• 15 minute appointments
• EMIS
• Minimal home visits
• 13 patients per session
• Duty Dr allocated on a rota basis
• 10,000 patients
• Anticipated growth to patient list
• Working with other GPs
• Single site working
• Strong MDT including ANP, Paramedic, Nurses, Clinical Pharmacist
