Salaried GP role available in a small, friendly practice

Due to retirement of our senior doctor, Doctors Ian Pidgeon and Simon Brown are pleased to be advertising
for a 4 session salaried role in our friendly GP practice based in the seaside village of Ferring, Worthing.
We are looking for a considerate and passionate candidate to join our fantastic workforce here at the Barn;
comprising of our practice manager, 2 practice nurses, 2 HCAs, and a collection of admin/reception staff,
alongside our 2 current GPs Ian and Simon. The role would suit a GP looking for great patient relationships
and the prospect of real continuity of care for those you are looking after.
The Barn surgery serves our 4100 patients with a ‘traditional village practice feel’ whilst still offering
excellent clinical care and additional services such as microsuction clinics, joint injections, and numerous
specialist nurse clinics. We have a very well defined practice boundary (with the South Downs to the North,
the Sea to the South, and a river to the West!). As such our practice numbers remain extremely stable, and
all areas of the boundary are easily accessible by bike or foot! Our visiting rates are extremely low with a
typical week having just 4 or 5 requests (for the whole practice). We have close community links with the
local hospice, community nursing teams, and access additional PCN staff (care coordinators, MH workers,
Physio, and pharmacists). Morale within the practice is excellent (a rare find amongst the current GP
climate) and our GPs enjoy a fantastic work/life balance due to the well-managed workload and acceptable
patient demand.
The practice is close to the Southern mainline (Goring-By-Sea train station is only 1.3km away), with
excellent links to Brighton and London if needed.

 Indemnity fees paid by the practice
 GMS practice, with high QOF levels and other targets being met
 £11,100 per session per year
