A highly dedicated and committed team which works within the wider School of Medicine academic and support team, across undergraduate and postgraduate sectors and which collaborates closely across primary/secondary care and inter-professional boundaries.The existing team comprises a Professor of General Practice, two Senior Clinical Lecturers, four Clinical Lecturers and two Clinical Teaching Fellows to delivering cutting-edge professional education in partnership with students and our clinical colleagues.
We are seeking to appoint a talented GP Clinical Lecturer to work with our existing team. Your main responsibilities will encompass teaching, assessment, student selection, pastoral care and curriculum development for the MBChB course. You will work closely with teaching practices and be a liaison lecturer for a locality, responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with existing teaching practices, staff development for community tutors and for recruitment of new teaching practices. You will also be the clinical lead for Early Clinical Placements in Primary Care student (years 1 and 2 of the MBChB curriculum); lead for development of Student Selected Components in primary care and the community and lead a review of reflection and reflective practice across all years of the course.
