Lead GP Job, Witham

Excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a Lead role in the Witham area of Essex. This is a small, single site practice that would be ideally suited to a more experienced GP seeking career progression.

The practice is located in Witham in a residential area which has parking on site. It is easily reached from surrounding areas including Colchester and Chelmsford. The practice is now seeking a Lead GP to head up its clinical team which includes Nurses and other health professionals. You will be providing care to a practice population of around 4,000 patients.

Though a small practice, it is part of a wider network which opens up many opportunities for collaborative working, career progression and clear development pathways. If you have any clinical interest areas that you would like to develop, this will be considered. You will be able to take an active role in quality improvements, research and other development activities.

The workload is well managed and you will be supported by a clerical team to take on incoming admin. A flexible number of sessions, and flexibility in session planning is offered meaning you can maintain a healthy work-life balance. There will be times of independent working.


Key Duties

• 4-8 sessions available
• Work at the forefront to deliver an innovative primary care service
• Work with the practice team to support and develop operational plans
• Communicating with the wider network
• Active participation in clinical development
• Working within CQC regulations
• Audits, sharing best practice and contributing to service improvements and re-design

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• GMC registered GP
• Included on NHS Performer's List
• Confident with autonomous working and taking a lead role
