Remote GP

Background -

You will be joining a popular, forward-thinking practice on the southern outskirts of Bristol, within easy reach of Bath and North Somerset. The practice has recognised the increasing pressures on GPs and moved to alleviate these with new working patterns, a workflow team which has reduced the amount of mail coming through to GPs and just 28 patient contacts per day, with only one day on-call every two weeks for their on-site GPs.
You will join a large team of Salaried GPs and a long-established Partnership, supported by a phenomenal MDT including numerous ANPs, Pharmacists and two Physios.
Your role will involve the same 28 contacts but obviously all remote via telephone, video or e-consult and whilst they are happy to consider GPs based nationally, the ideal would be within an hour of Bristol so as to be able to attend the occasional practice meeting.

Salary - circa £9,300-9,350 per session plus GMC fees AND indemnity

Location - home-based, practice is on the outskirts of Bristol

The surgery -

• Medium-to-large sized practice
• Well Doctored practice with loyal team of Salaried GPs
• Training Practice for GP Registrars and FY2s
• Excellent admin team
• Very involved within Locality and CCG
• Large MDT

Your role -

• 2 or more sessions
• 28 patient contacts per day
• Triage software 'traffic lighting' incoming requests meaning your patients will be suitable for a remote consultation
• Buddy system for any acutes that slip through the net - you would book into your buddy's template
• Flexibility around days as well as start and finish times
