Private GP

Summerfield Healthcare has been established for 7 years offering nurse, GP and consultant services. Started in the West Midlands and based in Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham our latest clinic in Cardiff opened earlier this year and our Telford private health centre will open later in 2022.

From a GP’s perspective, the work is professionally fulfilling, every aspect is time-planned so no surprises in your clinic list, our staff recognise your importance as the clinician and are all trained and focused on supporting you to provide great care to every patient.

For us, face-to-face healthcare is essential to ensure that we can examine our patients fully and diagnose them properly – this makes for safer medicine (and who wouldn’t want that?). With appointments from 15 minutes for a single issue to 30 minutes, there just aren’t the time pressures seen in the NHS.

We provide services to individual patients as well as businesses and organisations. There is a variety of work in a typical day, including:

• Various medicals for work/hobbies
• GP consultations
• Hay fever treatment
• Visa medicals
• Wellman/Wellwoman medicals

This complements our multi-disciplinary team and other specialist areas which include:

• Blood tests
• Memory assessments
• Minor surgery
• Neurology
• Orthopaedics
• Paediatrics
• Vasectomy
• Varicose vein surgery

You will always be supported – from the staff at the venue through to the clinical and corporate governance teams. We have a team dedicated to clinical audits and ensuring that quality of care is paramount. You will contribute to quality improvement and take part in regular clinical meetings.

What we’re looking for

We are offering full-time salaried and part-time sessional GPs to join our team. We’re looking for doctors with a passion for healthcare

• Reliable attendance with regular availability;
• A dedicated and punctual professional who is capable;
• Experience of working for at least three years as a GP in the UK;
• Extra skills and experience e.g. minor surgery desirable.

Key Attributes

• MRCGP Qualification
• Registered on the GMC GP Register with a licence to practise
