  • 4 - 6 sessions available (including on-call rota)
  • Competitive salary depending on experience (with potential for partnership)

  • Fellowship in General Practice Scheme available for newly qualified GPs

St George’s is a successful and thriving medium-sized rural Practice with 11,500 patients, based in a modern purpose-built building.  We are rated as Good with Outstanding features by CQC and rated 5-stars by our patients on NHS Choices. We are committed to excellent patient care, family-friendly working, and staff development. We achieve 100% QOF each year, run a dispensary, and offer innovative services such as hosting community outreach chemotherapy, and screening services and day surgery in our theatre suite.

We are an accredited GP-training Practice, and encouraging learning and development for all our staff is part of our ethos. Mentoring, training and teaching opportunities will be readily available to our new GPs.

We have a strong clinical team of five Practice Nurses, five Nurse Practitioners, and seven GPs, all supported by experienced Healthcare Assistants, administrators, dispensary and management teams. One of our GP Partners is the Clinical Director of the local Primary Care Network, itself a highly-regarded and progressive PCN.

We use SystmOne with the Ardens support tool. We also use the askmyGP patient communication software, which allows us to offer patients online message and video-message consultations, in addition to telephone and face-to-face appointments. This has been very well received by our patients and clinicians.

Littleport is situated in the beautiful ‘big sky’ fenlands of East Cambridgeshire. The Norfolk coast is only 45mins away by car, and Littleport has its own station stop on the King’s Lynn - Cambridge - King’s Cross train line.
