At Sunderland GP Alliance we have an established reputation for supporting newly qualified GPs. We provide an environment that encourages you to grow in your career through a dedicated personal mentor, leadership and clinical development and HR support too.  The scheme will develop your skills and confidence in a general practice environment and with your mentor we will help you to achieve your personal aspirations.

As a Fellowship GP you will be a key member of the primary care team in your host General Practice, managing a caseload and dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs.  You will work with colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care are provided and be an active contributor to planning and decision-making as part of the practice team.  You will have a role in the Primary Care Network, working on a quality improvement project.

As a Career Start Fellowship GP you will have:

• a salary of £72,000 per annum
• payment of professional indemnity fees
• investment in your professional development with 2 protected CPD sessions per week and a training grant of £3,000
• a personal mentor and monthly teaching sessions
• a supportive working environment
• a wide range of participating host practices
