Locum 111 Clinical Advisor or Paramedic Job, Plymouth

We are looking for experienced 111 Clinical Advisors or Paramedics to join a newly established integrated urgent care 111 service in Plymouth. Working in a newly established integrated urgent care 111 service in Plymouth you will be part of a dedicated team operating 24/7, 365 days per year and will be primarily focused on a non-emergency service providing advice and guiding to the most appropriate urgent care service based on telephone triage.

You'll be supporting Health Advisor's in the Contact Centre when calls are directed to you for patients requiring clinical advice. You will be confident in utilising your clinical expertise alongside NHS Pathways software to support patients ensuring that they receive the most suitable treatment tailored to their individual needs.

You will be comfortable discussing treatment ranging from self-care advice to referring patients to other services such as OOH appointments or to other members of the multidisciplinary team.

The service whilst considered non-urgent, does receive calls of an emotional, distressing or life-threatening nature and there will be times when 999 services may need to be dispatched.



Sessional/Hourly Rate

£20.00 to £35.00 per hour dependent on experience/shift hours

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

You must be a registered nurse or paramedic with at least 2 years' experience in an Acute or Primary/Community Care setting and you will ideally be NHS Pathways trained (although paid training can be provided).

You must also have your own indemnity cover, as well as relevant registration with either the NMC or HCPC.
