Part-time Practice Nurse Job, Windermere

A fantastic opportunity is open for an experienced Practice Nurse to join this friendly team in Windermere.

Located on the Windermere lakeside, this popular practice is the care centre for circa 5,000 patients of the Cumbria community. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse to get involved with the delivery of care in a non-traditional practice. The practice seeks to utilise modern technology to maintain excellent patient care.

Supported by a friendly administrative and management structure, you will be focussed on patient care. If you have experience in Primary Care and are looking for a different type of challenge, this could be the role for you.



Key Duties

As a Practice Nurse, you will assist with:

• Clinics in Chronic Disease Management - Asthma, COPD and Diabetes
• Ear syringing
• Minor surgery
• Cervical cytology
• Immunisation
• Vaccination

Package and Benefits

• There are 23 hours available
• £16-£18 per hour, depending on experience
• 5 weeks holiday (pro rata)
• NHS Pension enrolment

• Close to Kendal

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

The successful candidate will already:

• Be experienced in Primary Care
• Registered with the NMC
• Experienced in the clinics: chronic disease, minor surgery, ear care, vacs & imms, cytology
• Be seeking a non-traditional practice
• Have strong computer literacy

Ideally, the successful candidate will:

• Be familiar with PGDs and the associated policy
