Advanced Nurse Practitioner Job, Near Bridgewater

A requirement for a new ANP has arisen within a Surgery in the West Somerset area.

The surgery has built a strong team of permanent staff in recent years, including Salaried GPs, Partners and ANPs. Admin has also been reduced to a minimum through superior organisation, and therefore ANP workload is at a manageable level.



Key Duties

The incoming ANP will provide advanced levels of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat, and refer patients by acting within the parameters of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Emergency Nurse Practice and NP Scope of Practice.



Package and Benefits

This post will be for 30 hours a week. Salary will be dependent on experience, but NP salaries range from £18.81 per hour for a developing nurse practitioner to £26.88 per hour for a prescribing, fully competent NP with primary care experience and mentoring skills. Hours and working patterns to be discussed at interview but hours can be flexible based on the successful candidate.



Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

The right candidate will have experience within primary care and will benefit from fantastic support from the existing team as well as being encouraged to pursue/develop special interests, receiving full support to do so. They will need to priorities and triage the needs of patients accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
