This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high achieving, forward-thinking team. We provide inclusive, high quality healthcare to diverse communities in south Manchester.

We have very recently secured funding for a GP Fellow post, adding to our two current Fellows. This HEE programme enables GPs to develop their careers within the first five years of achieving the CCT by offering protected, paid time for improvement work and personal development.

Due to scheme requirements, the successful candidate should ideally be able to start by 31 March 2020 but please apply if you could start in April.

The post will be for 4-7 clinical sessions per week and 1-2 protected sessions per week to progress the chosen development area. The development area will be of relevance to our PCN, such as:

  • Supporting improved uptake of cancer screening.
  • Supporting improved care and services for frequent attenders.
  • Supporting the development of a dermatology service.
  • Supporting the development of digital services (online consultations).
  • Supporting the development of services for our harder to reach groups.
  • Another area of interest relevant to PCN priorities.

The Fellowship Programme will run for 12 months, but the candidate may choose to remain with us as a GP and more clinical sessions can be offered if required.

The post holder will be based at one of our three practices (see below). We offer a competitive package of benefits, including:

  • Salary of £75,249 pro rata
  • £5,000 educational bursary
  • Paid membership of our group indemnity scheme
  • 6 weeks holiday
  • 1 week study leave
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme offering emotional and practical support

To apply please click the "Apply" button or send your CV to CMCCG.jobs-RDP@nhs.net.

The final closing date for applications is 30 March 2020 but applications will be considered as they are received, to help ensure we meet the requirements of the scheme. The closing date will be brought forward if posts are filled beforehand. Please apply as soon as possible.
