Job Details

As the largest provider of Urgent Treatment Centre services in London, Greenbrook Healthcare are experts in Urgent Care. The UTC at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital is Greenbrook Healthcare’s latest service, in partnership with the acute trust we have been running the service from late October 2018. The service is open 8am – 2am 365 days a year, is co-located with the Hospital’s A&E department and offers treatment for both illness and injuries to walk-in patients. Lead by a team of excellent GPs, Emergency Nurse Practitioners and a supportive management team, a role as a GP within the Urgent Treatment Centre offers a friendly and modern working environment. GPs in the service enjoy variety and interest because of the diversity of patient presentations typical of an urgent care setting.

Job Summary

You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality urgent care based at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital UTC. You will deliver care of the highest clinical standards and will work in conjunction with the UTC Lead GP, Service Manager and the nursing team to ensure effective overall performance of the UTC.

At all times the post holder will act in a manner consistent with the GMC’s Good Medical Practice and Greenbook Healthcare’s values.

We’re a clinically-led organisation and our patients are always put first. Our management teams support our GPs, ensuring that you have time to do the work you trained for, treating your patients.

We can offer you sessions to fit around your commitments. Ashford & St Peter’s UTC is open between 8am and 2am daily and we have GP sessions available during the week, at weekends, during the day and overnight. Out-of-hours sessions are offered with significant increases in salary / rates.

We’re flexible too in how you chose to work for us. If you’re looking for a committed salaried position we can offer you a highly competitive salary along with access to our generous benefits scheme, including the NHS pension, six weeks annual leave and one week study leave.

If you’re looking for regular guaranteed sessions but would prefer to work for yourself that’s fine too, our Service Level Agreement means we can guarantee you sessions 3 months in advance and you’ll be rewarded with competitive hourly rates.Likewise, if you’re looking for ad-hoc sessional work you can join our bank of GPs and enjoy above market rates, picking up sessions as and when you’ve the time to carry them out.

If you’re looking for variety, as a Greenbrook GP you’ll be offered the opportunity to work across all of our UTCS, GP Practices and Out-of-Hours services; creating your own portfolio, built around your interests and availability.

Being clinically managed also means we can develop paths for GPs looking for career progression. We also regularly run educational events, peer to peer learning sessions and of course you’ll be supported by our network of over 300 GPs.

If you’re MRCGP qualified (or GMC recognised equivalent,) are registered with an English performers list and ideally with experience within urgent care (A&E, OOH, UTC) then we’d love to hear from you. Company

We're looking for General Practitioners to join our Urgent Care Centres (UCCs). Greenbrook Healthcare is the leading provider of Primary Care Led UCCs in and around London. As a GP working with us you will have the opportunity to develop your skills working alongside Emergency Nurse Practitioners and seeing a wide variety of patient presentations.

We’re committed to putting patients first and delivering high quality patient care. We’re a clinically led organisation with a supportive operational team to ensure your time is spent treating your patients. Although the patients you’ll see will remain within your skillset as a GP, it's a different working environment to traditional GP Practice – there is more team working and you’ll have more time with your patients.

We offer flexible working to fit around your commitments. Permanent GPs have access to the NHS pension scheme and up to six weeks annual leave and two weeks study leave plus other benefits. We can also offer guaranteed sessions to independent GPs (via Service Level Agreements) and regular ad-hoc sessions for self-employed GPs (bank shifts). In short, we can find the work to suit you.

As a Greenbrook GP, you’ll have the option to work from any of the services we’ve described above, creating a portfolio role to suit you.
