The Princess Royal University Hospital UCC General Practitioner

Co-located within the A&E department we’re looking for dynamic GPs to join this service treating and referring unique and varied patient presentations.

Job Summary

As the largest provider of Urgent Care Centre services in London, Greenbrook Healthcare are experts in Urgent Care. The Princess Royal University Hospital UCC is a 24 hour, 365 days per year service, co-located with the Hospital’s A&E department and offers treatment for both illness and injuries to walk-in patients.

Lead by a team of excellent GPs, Emergency Nurse Practitioners and a supportive management team, a role as a GP within The Princess Royal University Hospital Urgent Care Centre offers a friendly and modern working environment. GPs in the service enjoy variety and interest as a result of the diversity of patient presentations typical of an urgent care setting.

Why You Should Apply

We’re a clinically-led organisation and our patients are always put first.  Our management teams support our GPs, ensuring that you have time to do the work you trained for, treating your patients.

We can offer you sessions to fit around your commitments.  The Princess Royal University Hospital UCC is a 24/7 service and we have GP sessions available during the week, at weekends, during the day and overnight.  Currently we’re especially looking for GPs able to carry out work overnight and at weekends – these sessions are offered with significant increases in salary / rates.

We’re flexible too in how you chose to work for us. If you’re looking for a committed salaried position we can offer you a highly competitive salary along with access to our generous benefits scheme, including the NHS pension, six weeks annual leave and two weeks study leave. If you’re looking for regular guaranteed sessions but would prefer to work for yourself that’s fine too, our Service Level Agreement means we can guarantee you sessions 3 months in advance and you’ll be rewarded with competitive hourly rates. Likewise, if you’re looking for ad-hoc sessional work you can join our bank of GPs and enjoy above market rates, picking up sessions as and when you’ve the time to carry them out.

If you’re looking for diversity, as a Greenbrook GP you’ll be offered the opportunity to work across all of our UCCS, GP Practices and Out-of-Hours services; creating your own portfolio, built around your interests and availability.

Being clinically managed also means we can develop paths for GPs looking for career progression. We also regularly run educational events, peer to peer learning sessions and of course you’ll be supported by our network of over 200 GPs.

Ready to Apply?

If you’re MRCGP qualified (or GMC recognised equivalent,) are registered with a UK performers list and ideally with experience within urgent care (A&E, OOH, UCC) then we’d love to hear from you. Our recruitment team are more than happy to answer any questions you may have, to arrange a site visit or an informal conversation with our Medical Director.

Company

We're looking for General Practitioners to join our Urgent Care Centres (UCCs). Greenbrook Healthcare is the leading provider of Primary Care Led UCCs in and around London. As a GP working with us you will have the opportunity to develop your skills working alongside Emergency Nurse Practitioners and seeing a wide variety of patient presentations.

We’re committed to putting patients first and delivering high quality patient care. We’re a clinically led organisation with a supportive operational team to ensure your time is spent treating your patients. Although the patients you’ll see will remain within your skillset as a GP, it's a different working environment to traditional GP Practice – there is more team working and you’ll have more time with your patients.

We offer flexible working to fit around your commitments. Permanent GPs have access to the NHS pension scheme and up to six weeks annual leave and two weeks study leave plus other benefits. We can also offer guaranteed sessions to independent GPs (via Service Level Agreements) and regular ad-hoc sessions for self-employed GPs (bank shifts). In short, we can find the work to suit you.

As a Greenbrook GP, you’ll have the option to work from any of the services we’ve described above, creating a portfolio role to suit you.
