This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their career to develop as a GP educator in the School of Medicine at a time of student number expansion. Keele Medical School places a high value on general practice in its undergraduate curriculum, we use and engage GP practices more than most medical schools (23% of our clinical placements are in general practice, compared to a national average of just 13%). We are a vibrant, forward thinking team, working together to engage our undergraduate medical students with all aspects of general practice medicine throughout their course.

You will have the opportunity to teach communication and clinical skills and problem-based learning sessions, and to contribute to assessment, as well as participating in student selection, mentoring and appraisal.    You will be expected to contribute to the GP team’s administrative processes relating to community based teaching, and the support and development of clinical teachers in the community.
