We are looking for a full time or part-time salaried GPs to join our team at Rushey Mead Health Centre in Leicester!

The Practice

Rushey Mead Health Centre is a newly merged GP practice, comprising the two previous separate practices based at the health centre. We have a list size of around 4600 patients – an ethnically diverse, varied and interesting population – and are focused on really improving the care our patients receive.

We benefit from being housed in shared NHS premises and are working in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust to provide more joined up primary care, community nursing and specialist nursing services around the needs of patients, in the practice, in homes and in the wider community.

The practice was rated as “good” at the last CQC visit and uses SystmOne. We provide a full range of Essential, Additional, Direct Enhanced and Community Based Services between the core hours of 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday.

The Role

Our approach is focused on empowering patients to self-manage, giving brilliant access for patients and delivering great care – all with a sensible workload for our clinicians.

You will be working within a skilled and friendly team to deliver face-to-face, telephone and e-appointments, including a practice manager, combination of nurses, pharmacists and healthcare assistants, and an administration team, plus a Leicester based head office team providing human resources, finance and IT support.

People mean the world to us and we believe in providing great support for all our team members. You will have 1:1 support and protected clinical supervision time with the clinical lead for the practice, Dr David Tull. Dave is responsible for medical leadership in the practice and ensuring that key systems and processes are in place for providing high quality care to our patients.

Spirit Healthcare

Spirit Healthcare is a successful Leicester based healthcare organisation. We have a track record of developing and delivering innovative healthcare services and products across the UK and internationally, and are committed to investing in our local healthcare community.

Since late 2017, Spirit Healthcare has been responsible for the delivery of primary care services to 15,500 patients across Leicester at Asquith Surgery, Beaumont Leys Health Centre and Rushey Mead Health Centre. We are working hard to develop the practices to make sure patients get the very best care, and that we have the very best people working in them!

Our ongoing mission is to make the nation healthier and happier - one patient at a time!
