GMS Contract Opportunities
We are looking for enthusiastic, forward thinking and innovative General Practitioners to take over 2 General Medical Services contracts in Conwy Town. The contract / s will be available from 1st October 2018.
Both Practices are available individually. However, this could be an exciting opportunity for the practices to be managed as a joint venture, creating a larger practice across 2 sites to offer a wider range of services. The distance between both existing Practices is less than 2 miles.
Both practices provide all essential, additional, and a range of enhanced, General Medical Services.
The coastal town of Conwy in North West Wales sits at the edge of the Snowdonia national park and has a wealth of history and heritage. It is a popular tourist location with many local attractions including Conwy Castle, a beautiful quayside and home of the smallest house in Wales.
Llys Meddyg Surgery is situated inside the town walls on Castle Street, offering dramatic views of the Quay and Conwy Estuary on one side and the Castle on the other. Llys Meddyg surgery has been managed by the Health Board since November 2016, it has a registered population of approximately 3,700 patients.
Gyffin Surgery is situated outside of the town walls less than 2 miles away from the town and ideally situated on the main road towards Tal Y Bont and Dolgarrog. Gyffin Surgery is an Independent Practice but will transfer to the Health Board with effect from the 1st July 2018, it has a registered population of approximately 4,300 patients.
Working with the Health Board, Local County Council and neighbouring practices and stakeholders, you will be expected to deliver essential and enhanced services commissioned to meet the needs of the local population. You will be expected to participate in and contribute to the work of the Conwy West Cluster.
The existing, experienced and dedicated Practice teams will be eligible to transfer to the new Contract holders under TUPE regulations
