Clinical Director – Rainham, Kent

Are you a Lead GP or Partner looking for a new challenge or are you a Salaried GP looking to take the next step in your career?

We currently have a Clinical Director role available in our Medway practices, based in our Rainham Healthy Living Centre and our Parkwood Surgery. The details are:

  • Annual salary of £90,000 - £110,000
  • Joining bonus of up to £5000
  • NHS Pension
  • £500 per month contribution to Medical Indemnity costs
  • 40 hours per week (days/hours flexible)
  • 30 days’ annual leave + bank holidays + 40 hours’ study leave FTE
  • Role available January 2018

Practice Profile:

  • Multi-site practice – Rainham Healthy Living Centre and Parkwood Surgery. Close ties to our Balmoral Practice in Gillingham
  • Clinical skill mix consists of Salaried General Practitioners, ANPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses and a HCA. 
  • Practice opening hours Monday to Friday 8:30 - 18:00 (2 late nights until 20:00 Tuesday and Wednesday in Rainham HLC)
  • Combined patient list of 7800 patients
  • EMIS Web clinical system

As a Clinical Director in Medway, you’ll spend 2-3 days per week in practice caring for patients and 1-2 days carrying out your clinical leadership responsibilities. As well as providing strong clinical leadership and governance, you’ll help the practices to develop innovative services, deliver clinical excellence and get the best out of their teams.

An ambitious GP with clinical leadership experience gained in modern primary care, you should have a good understanding of medical management and clinical assessment. Passionate about driving improvements and delivering patient-focused care, you should also be commercially astute, a confident communicator and a relationship builder who can drive change and bring new ideas to life.

Our clinicians benefit from up to 50 hours free CPD (achieved online via Skills4Health) whilst mandatory training is also provided online. You’ll benefit from the expertise within our clinical network and gain support towards appraisal and revalidation. Our central teams support the practice network across the areas of Clinical Governance, CQC, Clinical Leadership, HR, Recruitment, Practice Operations, Education & Training and Finance/Payroll. This includes management support to ensure that our GPs feel valued and listened to.
