The Position

  • Salary £100k for 10 sessions
  • 8.30 – 5.30 Monday to Friday
  • No after hours or oncall
  • Small, friendly practice with collegial support.

This is small practice where you will work with one other GP. The practice is part of a larger group where you will be offered colleagial support and a nominated mentor / supervisor to help you settle in to the new system.

There are 1600 patients registered at the practice where you will see a range of patients.

This is a long term, permanent position with a salary of £100K, low tax rate and relaxed coastal living.

The Location

The coastal city of New Plymouth is known for its sunny climate, art galleries and beautiful parks. The conical shape of Mount Taranaki provides a dramatic backdrop to the city, a constant reminder that the hiking and biking trails of the national park are within a 30 minute drive away. There is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy including the beautiful coastal walkway covering almost 7 miles.

New Plymouth is a service centre for the Taranaki region economic activities including farming, oil and natural gas production and is the region’s financial centre.

With a population of around 80,000 there are restaurants, sporting facilities and shopping.
