Why is Health Screening so popular?
Feedback from our Doctors tells us that Health Screening is a popular choice because it is organised, structured and allows time for the doctor to build a relationship with the patient.  In a typical day you would see just 7 patients.
Not sure what Health Screening is?
You may know what Health Screening already – they are sometimes referred to as Insurance Medicals.  Health Screening can be described as an extensive medical check-up determining the impact of a patient's lifestyle on their health.  A typical screen will look at BMI, ECG readings, blood & urine samples, cervical smears etc. There are different types of screens available for patients of different ages or for those with pre-determined conditions.
Who Provides Health Screens?
Well, some of the biggest health providers in the UK provide Health Screening services.  Luckily we supply almost all of them so can offer you a huge choice of opportunities.
When can I do Health Screening?
You would do Health Screening in the same way as your regular GP or Hospital locums.  Sessions are usually 9-5 (but sometimes we have half days too) and we have bookings once per week, 5 days per week and beyond.  It’s really quite flexible.
Looking for an agency thats a bit different..?

We’ll still offer you work at the places you’d expect and we’ll still pay you well and on time.  So far nothing new, so whats different about us then..?

Well, quite a lot actually.  What do you think of this...

1.       We are actually nice people, with personalities.  You’re not just a name to us, we consider you a friend.  We’ll ask about how you are and occasionally we’ll chat about the weather, holidays or here’s a scary thought, politics.  We work hard on your behalf to find you the best paid jobs but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a chat, does it?

2.       We only register people that we genuinely feel we can work with.  We’re not impressed by huge databases – after all, it’s what you do with it that counts, right?  Fortunately our client portfolio is broad so there’s not many Doctors, GPs, Nurses or AHPs that we can’t help.

3.       We don’t get the call centre thing.  Which is good news for you because when you dial our number you are greeted by one of cheery team members – not a lady robot asking you to press 5.  Our team is made up of some really lovely people from all over the world.  What they have in common is a desire to do well by you.  So, if you speak Polish, Lithuanian, Afrikaans, Gujarati, Urdu or French and you’re feeling a bit homesick give us a call.  Our English isn’t too bad either!

4.       We’re not just lovely to our candidates – we have great relationships with our clients too.  This helps us to receive work that other agencies sometimes don’t receive which means there’s less chance of you having to speak to one of those run of the mill agencies.  Not bad, eh?

So, we think these are 4 fantastic reasons why you should talk to us about the work you want... Short term locums to help pay off a loan, something longer term because you fancy a change or maybe you are considering a brand new full time job – whatever your reasons for looking for work we can help.

Feel free to call one of our friendly (multi lingual) team members anytime for a chat.  Our number is 0208 947 3077.  If you’d prefer to get in touch by e-mail send us a note at info@merco.co.uk

You can call us for a chat on 0208 947 3077 anytime.  New jobs are loaded daily onto www.merco.co.uk  You can also find us on Facebook or LinkedIn.
