GP - Wollongong - possible partnership - earnings c.$300k
- Highly established busy clinic
- Mixed billing
- Possible option for partnership
- Teaching practice
A good opportunity to join an indepdent teaching practice which has been established for 45 years. They are turning away patients every day so do currently need another Dr to join them.
Currently they have 3 male Principal GPs in the practice, starting to do succession planning to wind down their working hours over the next few years. The long term plan would be to find someone to take over the practice in 3-5 years but if you were to join them you wouldn’t necessarily to have to do that – although the option would be there.
They have AHPs visiting the practice
Full time nurse support
Receptionists who look after the billings for you
Pathology, x-ray and chemist across the road
Nursing home visits – one of the current Drs does these
Mixed billing practice - standard consult is $54
Working to 10 or 15 minute appointments – one of the GPs chooses to see 30-40 patients a day whilst one of the others sees up to 70. You can work to your own speed.
60% of billings
Opening hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm and Saturday 8am – 12. Working 1 :4 Saturday mornings.
Based on seeing 5 private patients per hour x 38 hours per week x 48 weeks per year = $295,000 pa.
The practice itself is a traditional style – Mostly paper based they are however going to move towards computerising records.
To be considered for this position you must have MRCGP and UK CCT or FRACGP or equivalent.
